For any family, a home is more than just a structure—it is a sanctuary. However, when heavy rains and fierce winds strike, that sanctuary can quickly turn into a source of anxiety. Recently, several families in (108) Ward, East Dagon Township, faced this exact reality as severe weather damaged their homes, forcing them to seek temporary shelter with neighbors and relatives.
At HAGL Myanmar, our “We Care, We Share” initiative believes that everyone deserves a safe, dry place to rest. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, our team traveled to the affected ward to provide immediate disaster relief and reconstruction support.

Urgent Relief for 10 Households
The damage caused by the recent storms left many residents vulnerable as the rainy season continues. To ensure these families could return to their own homes as quickly as possible, the “We Care, We Share” team identified 10 households in desperate need of structural repairs.
Our Contribution Included:
• A direct donation of 150,000 Kyats per household specifically for repair materials and labor.
• On-site visits to offer emotional support and solidarity to the affected families.
By providing these funds, we aim to transform damaged structures back into secure homes, offering protection from the elements and restoring a sense of normalcy to the community.

A Shelter from the Storm
There is an immense sense of joy that comes from knowing a family no longer has to worry about a leaking roof or a collapsing wall. The “We Care, We Share” team was deeply moved by the resilience of the East Dagon residents and overjoyed to play a part in their recovery.
“May the pain and suffering caused by these natural elements be released through this act of goodness. We stand with our community, ensuring that no one has to face the storm alone.”
