In a powerful display of community spirit and corporate responsibility, Myanmar Plaza’s “We Care, We Share” initiative and the Meliá Yangon Hotel successfully hosted their semi-annual joint blood donation drive. A Collective Pulse of Generosity
The drive saw an overwhelming response, bringing together over 200 donors who were eager to contribute to the country’s urgent blood supply needs. The diverse group of participants included:
• Dedicated staff from HAGL Myanmar.
• Employees from various companies within the Myanmar Centre Office Tower.
• The service-minded team from Meliá Yangon Hotel.
• Compassionate individual volunteers from the local community.
Care for the Donors
Understanding that the health of the donor is just as important as the donation itself, the partner organizations ensured a supportive environment for all participants:
• Meliá Yangon provided high-quality refreshments and nutritional support specifically curated for donors and the visiting healthcare professionals from the National Blood Bank.
• “We Care, We Share” distributed specialized nutritional supplements to all donors as a token of gratitude and to assist in their post-donation recovery.

A Sustainable Commitment to Health
This event is not a one-time occurrence but a cornerstone of a long-standing partnership. These joint drives are organized twice a year as part of a permanent annual initiative by Myanmar Plaza and Meliá Yangon. By maintaining this consistency, “We Care, We Share” ensures a reliable and predictable contribution to Myanmar’s healthcare system.
“Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person—it is the gift of life. Our twice-yearly commitment ensures that we are always there to support our national hospitals when they need us most.”
Spreading the Merit
As the 200+ bags of blood make their way to those in critical need, the “We Care, We Share” team expresses its deepest thanks to every hero who rolled up their sleeve. Through this collective act of kindness, we hope to see pain and suffering released and health restored across our community.
