Rising Together: Myanmar Plaza and HAGL Myanmar Donate 8 million MMK for Cyclone Mocha Recovery

In the wake of the devastating destruction caused by Cyclone Mocha, the spirit of solidarity has never been more vital. As a cornerstone of the community and the principal organizer of the “We Care, We Share” initiative, Myanmar Plaza has stepped forward to support the urgent rehabilitation of Rakhine State.
On May 30th, 2023, a significant donation of 8,000,000 MMK was officially contributed to aid the recovery efforts in the hardest-hit regions.

This donation represents the collective heart of both Myanmar Plaza and its valued customers. Through the “We Care, We Share” platform, we have channeled the goodwill of our community into tangible support for those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and sense of security.
The funds were entrusted to the Shwe Yaung Metta Social Aid Society based in Sittwe, Rakhine State. This reputable organization is currently on the front lines, managing:
• Rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure and housing.
• Emergency Relief for displaced families.
• Essential Supplies distribution for those in the cyclone’s path.
