HAGL Myanmar: Sharing Love Beyond Valentine’s at Ebenezer Compassion Home

At HAGL Myanmar, our commitment to the community goes far beyond business. This February, we turned the spirit of Valentine’s Day into a mission of compassion. We are thrilled to share that the proceeds from our Myanmar Plaza Valentine Salesspecifically our beloved unicorn toy collection—were dedicated to supporting those who need it most.

A Heartfelt Visit to Twantay

[Yangon, Myanmar, 24th February, 2023] Today, our “We Care, We Share” team traveled to Kyauksiri Kone Village in Twantay Township to visit the Ebenezer Compassion Home. Founded in 2012, this incredible home provides a family environment for underprivileged children from across the country, raising them with the love and dignity they deserve.

To support the 40+ children currently in their care, we provided essential supplies to ensure they are well-fed and provided for:

  • 120kg of Rice (5 large bags)
  • 30 Viss of Cooking Oil
  • Nutritional Essentials: Eggs, onions, and dried mutton meat.
  • Treats & Comfort: Fresh bread, clothes, and toys.
  • Daily Meals: We were honored to provide a full day’s worth of warm meals for all the children.

Investing in Safety and Shelter

Our contribution didn’t stop at food. As part of our monthly “We Care, We Share” donation program, HAGL Myanmar donated 1,500,000 Kyats specifically for the installation of tin roofs. We believe every child deserves to feel safe and sheltered, especially during the changing seasons, and these new roofs will ensure the children stay dry and secure indoors.

Supporting the Kyauksiri Kone Neighbors

Kindness is most effective when it reaches the entire neighborhood. Through the collective charity of our dedicated “We Care, We Share” team members, we extended our support to 21 elderly and vulnerable households in the vicinity of the village. Each household received:

  • A 4kg bag of rice
  • Cooking oil and eggs
  • 10,000 Kyats in cash

Our Vision: We Care, We Share

At HAGL Myanmar, our guiding principle is simple: we strive to share our blessings with everyone. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the children at Ebenezer Compassion Home and our neighbors in Twantay reminds us why we do what we do.

We are deeply grateful to our customers who supported the Valentine Sales at Myanmar Plaza—your purchases helped make this day of giving possible. Together, we are building a more compassionate Myanmar.
